Consumers & documents · How-to · updated Sep 6, 2026
Open Consumers - 1Consumers → New consumer.
- 2Enter the legal name exactly as it appears in iConnect. APD rejects files where names differ.
- 3Add the APD ID (the iConnect ID / case number) if you have it. Without it you can still keep records; you need it before sending visits to iConnect.
- 4Save. The record opens with its document checklist, the Authorizations tab, and the Schedule tab.
Service authorizations
On the Authorizations tab, add each APD service authorization with its service lines (service code, units, dates). Shifts are scheduled against a service line, and iConnect sends use it to pick the right authorization.
If you already keep the Provider EPI report from iConnect, the iConnect setup imports consumers, workers and authorizations from it and matches them to your records.
