What is a requirement?
Each record type has a list of documents APD expects. Consumers and employees have different lists, and an employee's job role adds or removes items. A record is complete when every required slot has a current document.
How do expiration dates work?
When you upload a document you can set the date it expires. The record shows 'expiring soon' 30 days before and 'expired' after. Both appear on the dashboard and in the daily digest. Uploading a newer document to the same slot replaces the current one; the old version stays in the document history.
Can I change what's required?
Admins can. Under More → Settings → Agency → Document sections you can add your own document types, archive ones you don't use, and reorder sections. Requirements you turn off stop counting toward completeness.
What if a document doesn't apply to one person?
Open the record, find the slot, and mark it not applicable with a reason. It stops counting as missing and the reason is kept for the audit trail.
- Add a consumer · Create the record, fill in the identifiers APD and iConnect use, and know which fields matter later.
- Upload, replace and request documents · Three ways a document gets into a record: you upload it, Coworker files it, or the person sends it through a request link.
